Hi! Happy Sunday!
I know, the weekend has gone by way too quickly and you’re probably thinking – great, back to work tomorrow..😒 I use to wonder, why is it that we are expected to work five days and only rest for two… completely out of proportion! I mean, it doesn’t even make sense! How on earth does one recuperate with just two days!? Right, rant over 🙈
Oh and I went to a church in Watford, Hertfordshire today called Watford City PIWC, it was absolutely amazing, my oh my! It was like a fire ball of energy coupled with a release of newness. Can’t really put it in words, something you need to see for yourself! Pop over to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and check out what going on over there @watfordcity. That was just by the way.. 👀
Anywho, so after service, as I was scrolling through my Facebook page, I was thinking about something that many of us have been told and it has become something we now say in our conversations too. I’m sure you are familiar with the saying ‘good things come to those who wait’ but is this always the case?
Many people understand this to mean that if they wait, an opportunity will just magically appear 😕 or a door will present itself and open ( tada 👋🏽) I think if that were entirely true, many organisations would be bankrupt! Others use this saying as an excuse for their laziness and lack of desire to work to get the job done.
This saying has caused many to miss new opportunities and new experiences. It has been completely taken out of context and misunderstood, even causing many to feel that they are inadequate or not good enough as they are not getting the results they are hoping for.
This is Angelology, wait for it… 😋 I believe ‘waiting’ is a time to develop character, it is a time to spend quality time with yourself, learning to become a better version of oneself. Discovering what you are really good at, exploring areas that you thought would have never appealed to you….waiting doesn’t mean drop everything and do nothing…
The good book ( James 2:17) says, faith by itself, if not accompanied with action is dead. Spiritually is super important, but you are required to put your hands to work. You have to go and get it! Why go to school or learn a craft if you’re not going to test how useful it is? It’s not about what you have, it’s about how you use it.
Set goals, write it down and make it clear, you’ve got to understand it yourself! …and don’t just look it, make them sit up from your tablet and walk with you, it’s a journey, a never ending one. You need to start somewhere! Don’t just wait, but wait with purpose, with a plan with strategy.
The Lord has heard your prayer, the real question is, are you really ready to receive it?

Amazing read once again.
You’re completely right.
You can’t just say “God I want this… now I’m waiting for you to do it for me” and sit on your back side waiting for him to do it.
We also have to do our part.
Love your blogs

I agree that “wait” should be an indication of a time to standstill, observe carefully, reflect critically, analyse circumstances, then make an informed decision before moving forward. I love it! 😍
