Hello Friends. It’s me again! 😀
I hope you are well and looking forward to the new year! If you ask me, I’m pretty excited. It’s a brand new year people! 11 months have come and gone by and man, what a year it’s been.. Hmmm, I need to start planning from now, planning ahead, there are too many things I need to do next year!
I hope you enjoyed yesterdays blog post, thank you for your support and checking them out, the feedback has been amazing. ❤️ And I have another one for you.
I’m not a feminist but I always get so excited when I see women rising, walking in their purpose and calling, simply doing their thing. There is a beauty about doing something so effortlessly and I see this often in women who have taken it upon theirselves to bring positive change through what they love doing. I just love this!
However, I also see many women who don’t really know what they want, why they are on a particular course or what inspires them. Many are still finding theirselves and are in a confusing place, a place of transition.
When you haven’t found your purpose, it’s really easy to put on this false person in attempt to convince others of being someone you are not. Why is human approval so important? The ‘approval’ that has the tendency to change it’s mind. This is one of the reasons why many people (not just women) are having an identity crisis! Too many faces presented to many people.
Who does she think she is?
It’s vital that you know what you want in and from life. If you don’t stand for something, you will most definitely fall for anything.
Ok, so this is how many people have a discussion with Social Media…
Social Media. Hmmm. Yes, you my friend! Honestly, I love you but you are dangerous. You steal time and make people feel bad about their lives. Why do you do that? Is it because we have given you too much of ourselves? Or perhaps, we just don’t know our worth, so it’s easier to watch someone else’s life on Instagram and wished they were our own. No, I know, you just like seeing people miserable. I do love you though. You are my little drug.
My conclusion: Many don’t have self-control. It is very easy to blame social media but honey, aren’t you the one who logs on, enters your password and… well you know the rest. Preeing for hours at what others have uploaded. Wishing that you lived in their house and drove their car. Mate, you may be only looking at a rental! No joke. The funny thing is people mainly put out what they want you to see and so it’s only a photoshopped version of part of their life, to some degree.
What do they say about you? Do their words cause you to change what you stand for? Do you find yourself trying to be like them? Who do you think you are?
My brother William Amofa once said –
When push comes to shove, what do you do?
Trends change, fashion changes, technology changes, people change!
The only thing that is constant is what God says in his Word, now that never changes. I think it’s a good start to look into something that never changes, but rather has the power to make the change.
Don’t worry too much about what they are doing, and focus on you becoming that person you were created to be.
Who does she think she is? They ask.
My response – I am blessed and highly favoured, nothing can move me apart from the Word if God. I keep my head lifted and my voice will be heard. Because HE lives, I can face tomorrow.
If you enjoyed it, please leave a 🌟 or a comment. Catch you tomorrow for another one. ✌🏽
