Ok, it didn’t work out…

Hello Saturday!

…and how are you doing my amazing Away with Angel supporter? I hope you had a lovely day and your weekend is going well.

Thank you for reading and following along, you know this is our journey right, we are in this together! Soooo, *drum roll* 🥁 you are officially welcome to day 8 of my 31 day blog challenge!

Let’s get into today’s blog.

I want to start by asking you a question. Think about it before you give me an answer, (yes, I can hear you 👀).

Why do you get so lost in the web of failure?

Let me break it down.

You got excited about your new project, you put in the work, went to the meetings, made the phone calls and even lost sleep over it (ouch) but inflection, it hit you. It hit it you hard. The blood, sweat and tears didn’t equate to what you had hoped. The end result was only a fraction of what you intended and now you sit there grumpy, as if the movie on Netflix, about the world ending, is your reality. If fact, in your opinion your world has stopped spinning and it’s the end.

My friend, wake up!

Yes, I get it. It hurts. What was the point? Why go through all of that, only to be disappointed by the outcome?

Ok, it didn’t work out, but there is a lesson to learn. A new important contact you made and useful skills you picked up!

Life is full of wins and losses lessons. You win some, you lose learn some.

Listen, it’s important that we all experience wins and lessons, this is the way we develop. Growth enables you to aim higher and dream bigger. If you can’t learn during this stage, how will you move on to heavier assignments? The reality is, life will present you with many lessons and you need to be humble enough to appreciate what they will teach you. But don’t just admire the lesson, keep hold of it and incorporate it.

Denzel Washington said,

But I’ve never understood that concept, having something to fall back on. If I’m going to fall, I don’t want to fall back on anything, except my faith. I want to fall… forward

At least I figure that way I’ll see what I’m about to hit.

Fall forward.

This is so powerful. Wow. Falling forward enables you to see what you’re about the hit! Therefore, you can prepare yourself for your landing! It can be smooth or you can have a bumpy landing, but the amazing thing is, you have control over the way and speed at which you land. This is what I mean by learning during the process.

If you consider ‘loosing’ like this, then you didn’t ever really lose right? You fell forward!

Pick yourself up, dust your plans, projects and visions off and continue from where you fell forward.

Ok, it didn’t work out… but you fell forward! Gheezzz 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

*drop the mic* it’s a wrap!

If you enjoyed it, please leave a 🌟 or a comment. Catch up here if you missed yesterday’s post. See you tomorrow for another one. ✌🏽
