Hello Sunday and Good Evening to you.
Thank you for your support and awesome feedback, honestly I’m overwhelmed and encouraged to keep on going! I welcome you to day 9 of my 31 day blog challenge. 🤗
Let’s do this!
We all love superhero’s! I love them all, Superman, Spider-Man, The Hulk, oh do you remember Xenia, The Warrior Princess? I just adored her as a child and still do!
They are all usually human beings who have supernatural abilities. Some of them take up another form or simply wear a costume to disguise their identity. They show up when there is a crisis, protect the public and fight against the villain(s) who is terrorising the community or want to take over the world! They have this sincere eagerness to combat evil and uphold what is right.
I’ve recently been catching up on Black Lightening, he’s a superhero! (Thanks Sarah!) You really need to watch this show, Netflix is really my bestie guys.
As I was watching the show, it suddenly dawned on me.
We are all superheroes within our own right.
How?
You have great talents, extraordinary gifts and crazy abilities that can solve perplexed problems and create something beautiful. People are waiting on your saving word to bring them deliverance. …and you have a common enemy who wants to destroy the seed of hope that has been deposited in you.
When was the last time you put on your superhero costume?
But, just like your mobile phone, tablet or laptop, every superhero needs to charge up and be renewed, so that they can take on the task of being a super human. Superman receives his renewal and strength from the sun, Popeye from eating spinach but I know one man who is the Son of God, he has given freely onto all who will believe in his name, the Holy Spirit.
Watch this –
He said in John 14:16 AMP
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor–Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever
The promise of the Holy Spirit has been fulfilled and has been given freely to everyone who will believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God is your direct source of power, He will revitalise your moral body and cause strength to rise up with in you.
To be an effective superhero, you need the Lord first, in order to fulfil your God given mission. And it’s as simple and asking God to fill you with his Spirit. If you ask, He will do it. Once He makes his residency in your heart and spirit, he comes bearing gifts! How awesome is that!
1 Corinthians 12 7-11 NIV – Yes, I know, God is really generous. He wants you to be the best superhero ever!
Look outside Superhero. The community needs you! That idea to help tackle global warming, your voice to stand against knife and gun crime, your voluntary contribution in supporting the youth in your local borough, your peaceful march to demonstrate your distaste for unfair government rulings. Your prayer to God for peace in your country.
Superhero, I charge you. It’s time. Your people need you!
Let’s change the world together and kick some butt! I’ve got my superwoman costume ready, have you!?
If you enjoyed it, please leave a 🌟 or a comment. Catch up here if you missed yesterday’s post. See you tomorrow for another one. ✌🏽
