Character is like a pregnancy…

Thank God it’s Friday! The weekend is here. 💃🏽 It’s weird how Friday’s feel like special days, probably just a physiological thing!

Welcome to day 7 of my 31 day blog challenge! It’s been an interesting journey and most definitely got my creative juices flowing. Right, today’s blog is kinda personal.

I’ve come to a place in my life where I now understand and accept the following: it’s not everyone who loves you and wants the best for you. #facts

Sad but true and i’ve had to learn this the hard way!

When I was a child, my grandma would always say,

Angel, be wise with who you keep as friends… Character is like a pregnancy, it will always show.

Who you regard as your inner circle or your close friends is very important. It’s not everyone who is a friend and it’s not everyone who wishes you well.

I guess the bigger question is, why do you consider them as your friend? Is it because they help and support you? Keep all your secrets or encourage you to get up to madness?

Can you spot wolves in sheep’s clothing?

People can be dangerous, manipulative and controlling, especially when they don’t have your best interests at heart. This is why it is very important to learn how to conceal your plans / dreams until they are born.

The problem with this generation is that we have this overwhelming urgency to let the world know what we are doing, as well as, our next move. We upload things on social media, which should be keep undisclosed.

We run to tell friends our dreams, hopes and aspirations, as if they have the power to make them come to past. It’s really unfortunate, very painful actually that even within the family, we have snakes.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, hold onto your vision and purpose for your life despite the opposition. Speak over your life, over your goals and wait until they are born before you testify and spread the word. Protect your pregnancy. #word

I once heard that people come into your life with 3 intentions: for a reason, a season or for a lifetime. You have to figure out which category they fall into and work with wisdom.

Character is like a pregnancy, it will begin to show

…But when the signs begin to show, make a decision and see it through. Protect your peace.

I’m going to keep this one relatively short and leave you to think about it.
