Happy Thursday and Good Evening to you!
You are welcome to day 13 of my 31 day blog challenge.
Let’s get into today’s post🤗
Is it just me or are some nursery rhymes unclear and don’t make sense? I mean, if you actually listen to the words in the rhyme, honestly… not the mention the new ones!
Songs that have been sung from infancy by our parents and their parents, which we have passed down to our children.
Sometimes when I’m singing to my daughter, I find myself changing the wording in some songs, just because I don’t believe in the lyrics.
…row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily – life is but a dream…
Check this one out for instance. Unfortunately, life is not dream, it’s very real. Pinch me – ouch. Yep, I felt that!
No matter how wonderful or horrible your dream was, you physically wake up out from it. Well, you don’t wake up from real life, you appreciate it, face it and live it.
Who remembers this one?
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.
Like, for real? We all know that words can do a lot more than just hurt a person.
Words are invisible, they carry no form, and can enter your mortal body, and cling onto your soul immediately.
If you grant a negative word access, and it hasn’t been dealt with or spoken against, it will take root and manifest into something much worse. This is why many individuals have issues which stem from a word that was spoken over their life years ago; other priorities have covered it up but the agony remains.
Address it.
Likewise, living words create life and sit in your soul and bear fruit.
Words have the ability to sting like a poisonous insect or soothe like a mum’s voice whispering, ‘everything will be alright’.
Don’t get it twisted. Whatever you say will come to past. If you keep saying, I will never get a good job, guess what..
Your words are so powerful that when you understand that life and death is in the power of the tongue, (proverbs 18:21) you will know how to speak accordingly.
But please think before you speak!
Henry Ford said,
Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, either way you are right.
Think it • Speak it • live it
If you need to change up the wording, in order for it to align with your faith, go for it.
Your words are the sounds of how your heart is beating. If you need to get your heart in the right place first before you speak, then do so. There are some words that can’t be taken back while other words are the catalyst to your success.
Your words carry power. Speak like a king or queen and decree a thing to come to past.
If you enjoyed it, please leave a 🌟 or a comment. Catch up here if you missed yesterday’s post. See you tomorrow for another one. ✌🏽
