Bye Felicia ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ

Welcome to day 16 of my 31 day blog challenge!

Thank you for your private messages and words of encouragement. I’m really happy that I have been able to speak to you through my blogs and created room for different conversations.

Shall we get into today’s post?

I’ve always wondered why people are happy to stay unhappy and why some people prefer to be treated without respect for the sake of ‘friendship’.

It’s not OK to laugh the joke off when the joke is on you, all of the time. It’s not OK to pretend and hold back your opinion just because the ‘leader’ of the group doesn’t approve. It’s not OK to limit your academic growth because your friends don’t want to study further.

Be interested in your personal development and go for it! Don’t allow anyone to control your life or measure your success based on theirs.

If your friends don’t cheer you on or support you with your endeavours in any way, it’s time to move on.

Surround yourself with positive influences, people that will push you to become the best version of yourself.

Your immediate circle reflect the kind of person you are or will evolve to become.

Show me your friend and I will show you your character

It’s time to be unapologetic about your life choices and the individuals you select to move with.

Yes, it’s true that you can’t do it all by yourself but it’s also true that you can’t do it with everyone.

You can’t bring everyone to the place you are going to. It’s just not possible.

You are your own person, have your own mind and purpose for your life. If you feel that you need to separate yourself from certain people, go ahead!

Be selective

Be intentional

Be unapologetic

Bye Felicia…
