Oh no, it’s me again! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hello, it’s me again!

Thank you so much for reading my last blog post R.I.P Grandma. The feedback and private messages have been overwhelming, I appreciate your wonderful comments and I’m really glad you enjoyed it. Don’t worry, if you missed it, you can find it here 🙂

I hope you are well and if you are at home, haven’t been tempted to go outside for no particular reason at all 👀. I went to Tesco’s the other day and had to wait in a long queue, it was the weirdest thing. It felt like a Netflix movie, everyone, I mean everyone was a suspect. I could almost read their thoughts as we all gazed suspiciously at one another in line!

“You’re too close to me!”😱

“Why are you coughing, do you have Corona?” 🤭

“Where is your face mask?” 😷

I’m still trying to get my head around wearing a face mask and gloves just to go to Tesco, it’s crazy. Life as we know it has been temporarily interrupted and even when all returns back to as it was, it will take time to accept it as our reality. Hmmm, gloves and a face mask to go Tesco you know… crazy.

Anywho, let’s get on with this post!

#Lockdown is really forcing you to spend time with not only your family but with yourself! How many times have you bumped into you since lockdown? How many times have you spoken out loud to yourself? You can’t run from you anymore in this season! It’s time to stop avoiding you and that thing you have possibly been postponing. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Honestly, it’s the best time to dust of that project you were working on, start your research or just throw yourself into something brand new. How exciting! 🥳

I know you have WiFi so there isn’t really any excuse. Social media and Netflix will always be around, so why not use this time productively?

Yes, it is!

Life and all that comes with it can really steal precious moments from you. Moments that only can be produced by you, through you and for you. It’s unfortunate that ‘things’ have replaced the value of self-love, self-discovery and self-development. If you can’t spend quality time with you, then discovering your unique talents will take longer than it should. Talents that have always been there, skills that may need revisiting and hobbies which have been abandoned.

You are more interesting that you think!

Everything you need for this life and in this season is right down within you and being conscience of this truth is worth more than gold. I think it’s time to declutter! Perhaps there are too many things which have piled up, squeezed itself into and blocked the entrance for you to identify those areas that excite you and gives you reason to keep moving.

Here’s what I do, it makes life easier. Grab a pen and note book or somewhere you can take notes and begin to jot down what you need to do. Simple.

Word of advice, use this period productively, you will never get this time back. There is a creative person in you, a blogger, Youtuber, presenter, researcher, etc. You have got something unique that no one else has, so stop avoiding yourself, put all external influences aside and spend time exploring just what makes you who you are! And when you discover elements of you that you never thought you had, don’t be selfish, please share it with the rest of your world. You never know, someone is waiting on you to help set them on their course of life. 😉

…So the next time you call, please don’t mute it and turn your phone face down. Pick up the call! You are about to speak to the most important person in your phone book. We may be on #lockdown but you are free to be you. There is no one you need to impress, no where you need to go or any fancy clothes you must wear – it’s just you. Simply you. So be you.

Disclaimer ⚠️

You are different to anyone else, so don’t compare yourself to how fast they are moving, the content they produce or scope of influence. Do it at your own paste, find your voice and utilise the tools you have. It’s about time you step out of your comfort zone and turn your #lockdown into #Freeup! Free up yourself and do you! Oh Yes, it’s me again!

  • Spend time with you
  • #Freeup yourself
  • Get creative

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post. I’m looking forward to hearing about your new projects! Please feel free to leave your comments and hit the 🌟 tap. Thank you for reading and I will write to you soon!
