Let’s keep it 💯 you’re not all that 🙄

Hello and Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Let’s get straight into this post.

I just wanted to talk to you real quick and bring something to your attention. Something which is incredibly powerful and often at times leaves a lasting scar, which even in adulthood, cannot only be seen through behavioural traits but is embedded deep within the soul. A scar which has been planted, watered and developed into pain, anxiety, depression, alcoholism… A mark which has penetrated, a mark ever so deep, so troubling that it reminds you of that thing you are trying to forget.

That mark has been produced by W.O.R.D.S

Words are not just letters put together to create a sentence or just a passing comment. Words are spirit. Words have the ability and capacity to push past the body into your very core – your soul. No matter how short or long, negative words can be so malicious they have the power to kill your spirit, bury your soul and decay your body!

Now that’s deep…

Words may have been spoken over you as a child or an adult, that you still remember to date – they are even a reference point you make to your past mistakes, failures or regrets. Words that you will never forget. Words which have become your plus one and that uninvited guest at an event. Sometimes, you even catch yourself repeating what was said over you and speaking it out loud, only welcoming it the more.

Well, I want you to know…

You are not what they said about you. You are not your parents mistake. You are not a failure. You are not any less than your siblings. You are not a troublemaker. You are not incapable of anything good. You are not bad luck. You are not forgotten. You are not all that!

Sit up and listen to what you are!

You are blessed and highly favoured. You are loved. You are unique and talented. You are creative. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are special. You are strong and powerful. You are a leader. You are protected. You are God’s masterpiece. This is what you are!

I don’t know your state of mind, how you feel, what you have been through or your current situation. But what I do know is that you are more than what they said about you and you have control over your own life. You can choose to believe it or refuse it. You can choose to be free and change direction not only in your mind but in your life. You can choose to be what you were created to be!

This Resurrection Sunday, I want to appeal to you and speak WORDS of LIFE into your heart. Listen up. You are more than they said you are and can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Christ, our Passover lamb has been sacrificed. He gave his life that you may have it in abundance. Please don’t waste the gift of life by living according to their words. Your life is precious and you only get one shot at it. What God said about you is truth and that’s all that matters. And this is what He says about you.

“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11

How awesome is that! 🥰

If you don’t know this Jesus I’m referring to and are moved to find out about him, all you have to do is say this – Jesus, please come into my heart, forgive me of my sins and help me live for you. Reveal yourself to me and help me understand who you are, I want you in my life. – If you prayed that simple prayer with all your heart, I have great news for you! Get excited, the best is yet to come! A new outlook on life, you have just received God into your heart and everything he did on your behalf on the cross, has just been made available to you! You have passed over from death into life!

With all that is happening in the world right now, you can’t afford to let life just past you by. It’s time to shut down and get rid of all those dark feelings and thoughts. You are more than what they said, what you think about yourself and your life experiences. Cheer up! Get excited! Let’s keep it 💯 you are God’s Masterpiece.
